Speaking Out Against Prejudice | Elimination of Prejudice Week
Our annual Speaking Out Against Prejudice Open-Mic Night launched for the first time during November 2014, and raised nearly one-hundred dollars for The Elimination of Prejudice Foundation.
The open-mic night was developed from the inspiration of Pi Lambda Phi’s philanthropy of choice: The Elimination of Prejudice. Since one of the core components of The Elimination of Prejudice Foundation is to provide opportunities for individuals – both in Pi Lambda Phi as well as the greater community – to partake in discussions regarding the unfortunate perpetuation of prejudice in society, the 2014 E-Board of Pi Lambda Phi conceptualized the open-mic night event to allow these conversations to become a reality on Baldwin Wallace’s campus. Every year, Speaking Out Against Prejudice features around twenty different performers and student groups coming together to celebrate the diversity of individuals and promote unity amongst all types of people. Our fourth annual Speaking Out Against Prejudice was held on November 11th, 2017 from 9PM-11PM. Follow our social media for more updates about the next event! |
